Our Policy

Baby Direct Lay-by Policy

 

  • Our lay-by service is only available in-store or over the phone purchase.

  • The minimum lay-by sale is $100

  • A 25% minimum deposit and fortnightly payment are required.

  • Phone payments accepted by calling 1300859808 (MON-SUN:10AM-5PM ONLY)

  • You can exchange, or cancel items within 2 days of purchase (e.g. colour, size, model, etc)
  • After 48 hours of purchase, a cancellation lay-by will incur a cancellation fee.

Baby Direct Price Match Policy

 

  • Price match guarantee applies to all online and in store purchases, competitive price must be from an Australian based, baby store retailer (excluding Ebay, Amazon, the Nile and the pharmacy)

  • Baby-Direct reserves the right not to match online only websites

  • All price matching must include delivery costs
  • Product must be identical (including colours/design).

  • Verbal and written quotes not accepted

  • No further discounts, coupons or special offers apply to price matched items
  • Items must be brand new, display stock is not applicable

  • Competitors catalogue must be current and available for us to view

  • Baby-Direct reserves the right to refuse a price match

Baby Direct Delivery Policy

 

  • Baby Direct provides Australia wide shipping.
  • If complete orders are in stock, items will be dispatched within 1-4 working days. A notification email will be sent to provided email address with tracking information. If items ordered are out of stock, you will receive a call or email informing estimated availability within 48 hours, excluding public holidays and weekends. If you choose to cancel the order, your purchase will be refunded upon request.
  • Please allow 2-10 working days for delivery as timeframe may vary depending on the delivery location.
  • Shipping cost is calculated based on the distance and weight, size, quantity of the items ordered. Online shipping cost estimator is available to use before placing the order.
  • Standard couriers will ship directly to your provided address between weekday business hours and if there is no one available to sign and accept delivery, a calling card will be left for you to contact our carrier to re-book delivery or pick up of your order. Additional charges may apply for redirection to another location. If you will not be home during business hours our couriers can deliver to a business address. Please specify business name in the delivery address if you require this. 
  • Baby Direct is not responsible for any theft or damage once items have been dispatched.

 Baby Direct Click and Collect Policy

 

  • Click and collect service is available in all of our stores in Victoria. (Richmond, Ringwood and Dandenong) Please ensure that you select the correct store when choosing the delivery method.
  • Please await notification email or call to confirm items are ready for collection prior to coming into stores to avoid disappointment.
  • Please make sure that you bring your online order confirmation and photo ID with you upon collection for verification purposes.

Baby Direct Warranty Policy

 

  • All items purchased from Baby Direct are covered by different manufacturer’s warranties.
  • To make a warranty claim, please contact our customer service team with proof of purchase and description of the manufacturing fault within the warranty period. Our team member will either instruct the procedure of claiming from the manufacturer directly or contact the manufacturer on your behalf upon request.
  • When claiming warranty on customers’ behalf, Baby Direct reserves the right to inspect and assess all warranty claims in accordance with consumer law guidelines and manufacturer's conditions before a repair, replacement or refund can be applied.
  • In the event of item needing to be returned to the manufacturer for assessment or repair, Baby Direct is not responsible for providing accurate processing timeframe for warranty claim process.
  • Manufacturers reserve the right of final decision on all warranty claims approval. 

Baby Direct Refund and Return Policy

 

  • If you are not entirely happy with your purchase from baby-direct.com.au, we are more than happy to offer an exchange, credit note or refund on the following terms:
    • Goods must be presented within 7 days of purchase with a baby-direct.com.au register receipt as proof of purchase
    • Goods must be unused and in the original packaging and condition in which they were purchased
  • Please order carefully as we do not refund or exchange simply because you changed your mind or you have made an error in finalising your order (such as choosing an incorrect size or colour). We may allow a refund or exchange (at our election) on a case-by-case basis for such returns, provided that the item in question is:

(a) returned within 28 days of order;
(b) not used (and contains original tags and/or packaging);
(c) not damaged in any way;
(d) the item is in resell condition;
(e) all packaging must be intact.

 

  • Return must be agreed by both parties prior to the actual return.
  • Baby-direct.com.au reserve the rights to provide buyers a replacement, parts or a full or partial refund.
  • Chargers may apply if the product is damaged by buyer when the returned item is received, there will be no refund if such cases occur.
  • Postage and Handling may not be refundable if full refund is required.
  • Refund will only be processed via Bank deposit or credit card depending on the payment method being used previously.
